HCVN brings you a variety of Tiger sports throughout the year, which are largely thanks to our parent and Tiger-supporting volunteers. Our muliti-camera shoots allow for an excellent view of every play. Tiger sports air during the weekly feature slots at 7pm.
HCVN channel 10 is also the perfect place to catch a LIVE showing of band and choir concerts or other school activities taking place in the Hutchinson High School. Catch replays from the Hutchinson Middle School and High School, as well as Ridgewater College, thanks to the help of volunteers such as Val Elder. Fall, holiday, and springtime concerts air at corresponding times throughout the year. Watch LIVE and replayed footage during weekly feature slots at 7pm, and on Fridays at 9am, and Saturdays at 3pm.
Hosted by Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce president Mary Hodson, Chamber Connection is a monthly show focused on connecting our community. Part of the program is dedicated to providing an update of events and initiatives happening around the community, while another portion is spent talking about the topic of the month, with community guests often joining in the conversation. Chamber Connection is filmed in the HCVN studio and airs Mondays and Fridays at 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. on HCVN channel 10._
Community Church Services
Channel 10 offers a variety of church services for viewing, in various denominations. These services are replayed throughout the week — check the online weekly schedule to see the offerings and corresponding air times.
Community events of many types are welcomed as programming for channel 10, airing throughout the week. These events appeal to the different interests of community members, featuring such topics as Jaycee Water Carnival pageants and parades, RiverSong Music Festival artists, McLeod County Fair entertainment, author visits at the Hutchinson Public Library, educational speakers, or dedication events such as murals or parks. You can find community interest programs airing at 8am and 3pm Tuesdays, 8am Wednesdays, 11pm Thursdays, and 5 and 10pm on Saturdays.
Cooking in the Kitchen with Chris
Chris Schlueter walks you through 3-4 recipes each month in this locally-created cooking program. Episodes focus on creating food that is fast, healthy, and fresh, and hosting and gardening tips are added in as an extra bonus. Catch up with Chris on HCVN 10 Mondays at 6pm, Fridays at 11am, and Saturdays at 2:30pm.

Friendship Set to music
Thanks to Minnesota’s square dancers, the square dancing TV show, Friendship Set to Music continues to flourish. The staff and dancers are all volunteers, with a new theme and new dancers each program. This show airs on HCVN channel 10 at 3p.m. on Wednesdays and at 12p.m. on Saturdays.
Saturday mornings from 10am until noon, HCVN offers programming featuring historical aspects of Hutchinson and the surrounding communities. These programs also air at 10:30pm on Tuesdays and 8am on Thursdays -- be sure to check the program schedule for detailed content information. Content stems from the Historic Hutchinson organization (including annual Living History cemetery tours), the McLeod County Historical Society, and community members.
Into the Stream
Featuring reviews and discussion of entertainment past, present, and future, Into the Stream is a locally created program hosted by Tom Peterson. Follow along with Tom and his cohost as they cover all things film, gaming, television and more. Catch Into the Stream Tuesdays at 3pm, Fridays at 10pm, and Saturdays at 6pm.

Meet the Author
Wednesdays on HCVN 10 are dedicated to two showings of an author talk, locally filmed thanks to organizations such as Heart of Hutch, the public library, and the museum. Catch up with authors both local and national, ranging from William Kent Krueger to Letty Bernhagen at 10am and 10pm.
Music and Entertainment
These programming slots are dedicated to just that -- music and entertainment. Featuring bands from RiverSong Music Festival, Peace Lutheran's Noon Recitals, and entertaining acts from the county fair, this category spans all genres of musical interest. Tune in Sundays and Mondays at 11pm, Tuesdays at 9am, and Saturdays at 1pm.
Music in the park
Every summer brings Music in the Park to Library Square in Hutchinson on Monday evenings, with musicians from the community, state, and beyond. HCVN brings the music to you live beginning at 6:20p.m. when available. Replays of Music in the Park can be seen on channel 10 on Monday evenings when live music is not available, as well as on some Fridays and Saturdays. Keep an eye on the weekly programming schedule for air times throughout the year.
Each week Our Story Productions presents a variety of programs from the fictitious county of Sweet Swine. Each spotlights the incredible businesses and organizations in the communities that have become part of the Our Story. Catch this cablecast program on HCVN channel 10 at 2p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Channel 7 also airs Our Story on Saturdays and Sundays at 2p.m.
Dan and Yvonne Viehman host this top-rated music and dance show that features live bands that play polka, waltz, swing and so much more. This popular program was created at Northwest Community Television and has been a fan favorite across the upper Midwest for over 18 years. Polka Spotlight is shown on HCVN 10 Wednesdays from 12pm-2pm, and Saturdays from 9am-10am.
Host Mark Santelman covers organizations involved with the arts in and around Hutchinson during this monthly program. Ranging from the local arts center, to the winery, to the theater company, Something Artsy fills viewers in on what's going on for arts activities and entertainment. Stay up to date by tuning in to channel 10 Mondays at 9:30pm, Wednesdays at 8am, and Saturdays at 5pm.
Spotlight on the Collection
MCHS museum director or local historical expert introduces the community to artifacts from the McLeod County Historical Society's collection in this monthly local program. Watch Spotlight on the Collection on Tuesdays at 11am, Thursdays at 6pm, and Saturdays at 9:30pm to hear the history behind McLeod County's communities.
