History of HCVN
Hutchinson Community Video Network, Inc. is a private, non-profit Public Access Station providing local programming to the residents of Hutchinson, Minnesota. Founded in the 1980’s, HCVN operated for many years in a basic capacity, managing with the available technology.
The station has continued to upgrade and expand its technology, in order to best serve the community.
In July of 2003, HCVN received a substantial grant from the Citizens Bank of Hutchinson/Irv Burich Foundation and the Burich Family Foundation. Those dollars were used to revamp the in-house equipment, allowing for the purchase of a new playback system. With these grant dollars, HCVN was able to revitalize its programming capabilities and evolve to a more functional public access station.
